Gold Coast’s “Can-do” Mayor Tom Tate says “Gold Coast construction jobs and home approvals are leading Queensland’s revival…Approvals for homes are their highest in 15 years with the biggest increase being on the Gold Coast with building approvals doubling in the past year.”

“Business confidence is also back. The number of MCU applications (Material Change of Use) – the most comprehensive development applications, have almost doubled as at 2014/15 with just under 1600 submitted, up from 864 in 2012/13. BA’s (building applications) are also up from around 9000 in 2012/13 to over 14,000 in 2014/15.” Mayor Tom Tate
